Private purchases in the European Union are generally not subject to restriction, however there are some products, or special cases, when purchases and transports are limited.

For example, buying, or border cross transporting tobacco is still subject of restrictions, and it is possible that the transport of some food products temporarily limited, especially in the reason of public health. The reason of public health is the most common reason for member states to limit the transport of food or other goods.
 

In many of the EU Member States can pay with EUR. The euro banknotes and cents can be used in any country un the euro-zone. It is important to know that using ATM or paying with bank card in the European Union should be anywhere as expensive as in the home country.
 

In connection with purchases worth knowing, that a minimum of two years of warranty applies to all goods purchased in the EU (consumer contracts). This rule applies if the product fails under normal use, for example, due to some manufacturing defect. In this case the consumer may first require a particular improvement.
